Do I need Hydro Excavation/NDD?

Hydro Excavation or Non Destructive Digging (NDD) is excavation without the risk of damaging services. On a project where you feel it may be risky to use traditional means of excavation, you don’t know what services are underground, dial before you dig plans are vague or unavailable, your client wants you to prove the service locations; Hydro Excavation will be the answer. We combine high pressure water, typically 3500psi or 250 bar or higher depending on the conditions with high velocity vacuum. The water pressure breaks up the soils into a slurry, the high velocity vacuum collects this slurry through a large vacuum hose and deposits it within the vacuum tank. Using this method we are able to create potholes or trenches for critical infrastructure such as power, gas or water that may otherwise be damaged during the construction process. It is a clean option as the spoils are taken offsite if required, our trucks have the capability to unload on site in an appropriately designated area if the material is not contaminated. NDD is particularly useful on complex jobs or projects where there are many contractors, multiple services, tight spaces and high risk.
